I'm back from holiday, and back into MP! I've started redoing the skin based on Blue3Wide and I should have a new release for you guys in about a week.

Here's some quick replies to the posts made while I was away. I'm glad you guys like the skin, even if it's not perfect (yet!)

...when you make a selection from the home screen the text remains briefly before your selected screen appears...

is it possible to change the colour scheme from green to blue?

I've sorted the text shrinking (on my system anyway) - that was a hangover from Blue3. I prefer a green scheme and haven't got time to change all of the "focus" graphics but if you (or anyone else) wants to create a blue set I could include them with the skin to give people the option of a different colour scheme..

..is there a way to display the square season banners full size instead of them being overlayed on the wide banner template?

I didn't know there were square banners as well. As far as I know there's no way to differentiate between square and rectangular banners - the template has to be set in the XML file.

I agree with you that you are making the best "high end" (i.e. professional looking) skin for MP.

...But there are a problem !! MP post a warning ( big red square overlaying the screensplash) about using this outdated skin !! However, if you skip warning, till now everything worked well !!

I tried to remove the warning and I did it....

Do you already test your skin with the new release? It works fine ?

If YES, please change what necessary to remove the warning and release this new version . Everybody will thank you for that.

Check out Page 14 in this thread:
"The "outdated" message will be because the version number is wrong (since it's based on RC4). You can either keep ignoring it or start MP Config, click "skins", take a look at the version number shown alongside Blue3, then open the "references.xml" file in the skins->Bleazle folder and put that reference number in this line " <version>0.9.4.0</version>" and click save - that should get rid of the message."

Hi Jose - I'm glad you like ths skin I wouldn't say it's the "best "high end"skin" but with a bit more polishing it should be OK

Yes I have tested the current version on MP 1.0.0. and it's fine but I didn't want to release another version before I went on holiday because I was (am) working on a couple of things that need finishing off first.

Should this view be ready soon ? I am really after this one !

...My biggest problem is, that the skin is based on a 4:3 skin and not 16:9. If you install a plugIn like 'MyKino' which is made for a 16:9 skin, it doesn't work! It would be much easier (I think also for you) if your skin bases on the Blue3Wide.

...Home Screen....perhaps it would be an improvement, if the fading speed of the big icons would be a little higher?

You'll be happy to see that I'm re-doing the skin based on Blue3wide then Hopefully this will sort your EPG problems out too. As noted above the the fading issue is sorted - I haven't changed the speed though.

I also agree with making the skin based on widescreen ..

....I am having trouble with the files you attached from this post... I am still getting the strange square covers without any imdb info at the bottom.

Any suggestions ?

You'll be happy too about the Blue3Wide conversion job I don't know what the story is with the IMDB issue - hopefully the next release sorts it for you.

1. Again I found an "unbleazled" part in this wonderful skin wich disturbs the look a little bit. You can find it when watching a video and pressing "y" for OSD. The info box is still blue. No big issue, but we want it to become perfect, don't we?

2. Well, even if this version looks good on wide screens already I think it would be great if you could make it a real wide screen skin. Most users are using wide screen tvs and so this transforming could keep some confusion away. It would also make it easier to just copy skin files for yet "unbleazled" plugins into bleazle folder, I think. Some more work for you i know, but I'm sure it would pay in the future when supporting bleazle skin. But only you can say if you want to invest that much time. On the other side you are now absolutely fresh and motivated after your wonderful holidays full of kite-boarding, mountain biking, beer drinking, sun bathing and so on, aren't you? I know you are...

3. Sorry Dave, I think bleazle skin is far too good to keep it "under the radar". More than 3300 downloads and counting... Think positive: You now have a nice hobby for the next few months and we all love you for what you do

Re - Point 1. Yeah I noticed that before I went away - already fixed, but you're right, we do want it perfect

Re - Point 2. I didn't get to do as much kiteboarding as I would have liked, and you can never drink enough beer but I guess I'm refreshed enough to get back into spending hours in front of my computer for no reward

Re - Point 3. Yeah 3,000 odd downloads is pretty good. When I put the first version of this skin online just over a month ago (which wasn't very polished) I told my wife that someone might be looking for the same sort of look I was after. Unless you're putting your own skin together (which is all this is - it's for me - you guys just happen to like it too ) you will never get exactly what you want but it's great to hear that it comes close to meeting the needs of other people around the world too

Just another thing to add to the list... I am getting movie info listed on the left hand side when selecting which share to go into.

Obviously there is many movies in the shares so it shouldn't be listing any movie info in the shares view.

I take it you mean when there are several (ripped?) movies in one folder? I haven't got any like this so I can't test it right now but I guess this is the same as when you have multiple TV shows recorded into one folder - when you "mouse over" that folder it shows the info for one of the shows.

One of the good things (I've found) with the "new" Shares view is that you can transfer recorded TV to another HDD and still have the programme info - not like the old versions of MP.

...I came across Bleazle and love it. BUT, it always seems a bit blurry/blocky on my largest TV, 1360x768 (40")....

...is there a larger version around, or any plans for a larger version?

No problems whatsoever on my Sony Bravia 1920x1080p 40" TV though. What interface are you using? composite? vga? hdmi? Think it must be there somewhere.

For all others and to Dave: I agree a skin based on Blue3Wide would be best.
If you need help with it, let me know! If you're not going to do it: fine, my configuration works perfect for what I'm doing with it (viewing movies)

Yeah when I read this (while I was holiday) I thought it was a set-up issue too - I use this skin on an HD 50" Panasonic Plasma and it looks great.

Both of you should be happy with the next "wide" version too

...if I bring the guide up in front of the TV picture, the "next" programs are almost the same colour as the background, so can't be seen.

I see what you mean - I'll fix that for the next release.

...I have two problems:
1. The DVD Covers have been to narrow in the list-view, thus I modified the xml-file and now it looks great on my 4:3 TV. But still an error occurs, in the original version as well as in version modified by me: When scrolling (up and down) trough the list the covers sometimes dissapear. Can you imagine were the problem may be found?

No idea sorry - it won't be a skin issue though - it just shows what MP "tells it to" - you should get the same problem using Blue3 because the current version is based on Blue3. Maybe it's a database issue or even a MP bug?

...2. On the EPG search screen the program info is placed in a wrong hight. Where can I find the parameters to place the text in a lower position?

The skin isn't made to view on a 4:3 screen but if you want to play around with the settings for the TVGuide take a look at the "mytvguide" XML file - that's the one you will need to change. Good luck with it.

If this doesn't make sense, I will try to get a screen shot.

You're right, it's not that file - I had assumed you were talking about the TV Guide and didn't really take full note of your comment "On the EPG search screen the program info is placed in a wrong hight" - sorry about that.

I think mytvsearch.xml is the file you will want to have a look at and this is probably the bit of code you'll need to change (+ the programme title placement as well?):

OK, I see what you mean. I agree that it shouldn't show anything but as far as I can tell I can't change that in the skin code, it's a MP setting. Getting the Shares view to show IMDB info like this is a work-around so I guess we have to take what we get to a certain extent.

I hate to disappoint but the "new" look shouldn't be too different to what you've got (since you've already grabbed the XML files required to show the IMDB info for Videos) but for people that haven't done that it will be a bit different. I've made a few other minor changes plus improved the look of MyFilms but the biggest change is really just going from using Blue3 as a starting point to using Blue3Wide instead.

It's starting to take shape but today is also my fist day back at work so I've got to squeeze a few phone calls and emails into my MP skinning time (my boss would probably say that should be the other way around )

I did grab the xml files, but mine is still square missing the covers and not showing any imdb info on the main page. I don't know why, doesn't make sense...

Let me know if I can try anything else..

Hi the plugin dude here again

I wonder if there are any possiblities to ad this wonderfull plugin to the next release. I'ts a perfect plugin when you need to view movie or game trailers, I installed this plugin and I can guarantee a big sucess on the wife vs MediaPortal I used Blue3Wide files, and it worked fine but the menus are little strange because the 4:3 skin.

outstanding work! But I have two problems. (fresh install MP 1.0.0.0, then TVseries SVN 3279, then Bleazle Skin+Update for 15 Series per page from this thread) The first problem is a info-box which is misplaced:

The other problem is that there are no episode thumbnails. I downloaded them and TVseries configuration module also shows them to me, but as you can see on the screenshot, they are not displayed. How can I fix that? I posted the mytvseries configuration as second attachment.

I also cant see the symbols, like HD and so on...
