awesome skin.
two contructive comments:

when yOu make a selection from the home screen the text remains briefly before your selected screen appears... this is a shame as the animation is awesome, but then this text appears paused..i.e if iwas to select music.. then you get the animation, but text "music" shrinks but doesnot disapear until the screen switches..to next screen.. hope this makes sense.

is it possible to change the colour scheme frome green to blue?

I agree with you that you are making the best "high end" (i.e. professional looking) skin for MP.

That's why a want to use it with the new 1.0.0.0 release. But there are a problem !! MP post a warning ( big red square overlaying the screensplash) about using this outdated skin !! However, if you skip warning, till now everything worked well !!

I tried to remove the warning and I did it. I just changed the release number.

Do you already test your skin with the new release ( I think it is basically the same of RC4) ? It works fine ?

If YES, please change what necessary to remove the warning and release this new version . Everybody will thank you for that.

Check out Page 14 in this thread:
"The "outdated" message will be because the version number is wrong (since it's based on RC4). You can either keep ignoring it or start MP Config, click "skins", take a look at the version number shown alongside Blue3, then open the "references.xml" file in the skins->Bleazle folder and put that reference number in this line " <version>0.9.4.0</version>" and click save - that should get rid of the message."

Hi Beazle,

i like your skin-idea very much. It really looks very professional.

But I have a few problems:

1. My biggest problem is, that the skin is based on a 4:3 skin and not 16:9. If you install a plugIn like 'MyKino' which is made for a 16:9 skin, it doesn't work! It would be much easier (I think also for you) if your skin bases on the Blue3Wide. You can also make the font smaller or more picture rows to see, but nobody will have problems with streched icons or plugins anymore. Would it be much work or difficult to base your skin on a wide skin?

2. In EPG View, I see 8 rows. But it seems that it should be 9, because the green 'up-arrow' of the timeline is about one row below the last row. Also (perhaps because of the low up-arrow) the 'description' of epg is running up to the (bottom) end of the screen -> the current date and time is covered from this description.

3. In EPG View the timeline arrows are very big. (Compared to Blue3) Is it because of the wrong aspect ratio?

4. Also in EPG-View, the name of the tv-show is repeated as the first line in the description. If you compare it to the Blue Skin, there it is not repeated.

5. Home Screen. I don't know what the other guys here think, but perhaps it would be an improvement, if the fading speed of the big icons would be a little higher?

6. Home Screen. If I select an icon (like TV), the text ('TV') is fading to the background. But on my maschine, it stops fading if it is at about 5% of original size. I would expect, that the text will fade away to a dot or completely. Is this possible or only a problem on my maschine?

I also agree with making the skin based on widescreen ..

- everything is inside a dvd cover now which ties in with the rest of the skin.

I changed a lot of files when I was trying to work out what I needed to do to get the My Videos/Shares look how I wanted it but I think these three will give you the list views shown above (but not the thumbnail or filmstrip views). Give them a go and let me know how you get on (I'd recommend backing up your current copies of these files rather than overwriting them just in case)

Bleazle, I am having trouble with the files you attached from this post... I am still getting the strange square covers without any imdb info at the bottom.

hi all

I'm currently sitting on the beach having a break in between kiteboarding sessions and I figured I'd fire up the BlackBerry and check in on the thread-geez there's going to be a fair bit to reply to/work on when I get back to my computer (which is about 400kms from where I am right now...)

A couple of quick points:
1. If it's not too much of a mission I'll look at basing things on Blue3Wide - I'm already getting headaches thinking about the work - especially since the current set-up is fine on my system/with the plugins I use, but I hear what you guys are saying.

2. Hopefully this skin won't become a "hot skin" - I already spend too much time on it! Let's keep it under the radar.

3. Can't remember!it's time to go kiteboarding!

Good that you are having a good time. This is just a reminder for when you get back... As posted above, I have tried overwriting the 3 files for the new my videos views and it is not working for me. Not sure what else I should do, I have deleted the cache as well.

Is anyone else getting the new views for the files Bleazle posted ?
