Please search the forum first... you'll find Arcsoft Total Media player OR Cyberlink PowerDVD. There are some pluginsollutions available to use one of these programs for bluray movies.

Well, me personally .. I am using PowerDVD, since the Arcsoft player messed up my codecs. Other people have more succes in using the Arcsoft player. They are both very good at playing Blu-ray... depends a bit on your system. I would say: try them one after another. Before you install make a restorepoint so you can revert back to the point where you didn't install the program.

I don't think so, because MP has no way of knowing at which timestamp the external player stopped playback. Best way to achieve this would be to use an auto-resume feature in your external player itself. (MPC-HC can do that, I don't know about VLC)

Maybe the server is/was too busy when you tried to authenticate. I occasionally run into that too, also with the opensubtitles api I regularly get 429's... there isn't much that can be done about it, except making sure the software isn't hammering the service and having patience...

It may seem strange, but the open-source license allows anyone to sell physical CDs or DVDs to customers, provided that, for example, the source code is made available upon request and additional value is provided, such as an installation manual. Both of these are mentioned in the product description, so it appears to be legitimate...
