Hello
I Have working (thanks to many of you that teach me how, thank you :) ) TotalMedia Theatre for Bluray and HDDVD playback, with the back button of the MCE remote to exit Totalmedia and return to Mediaportal.

I also added a command to open the "source" option from TotalMedia so I can choose a Bluray o HDDVD ripped to the hard drive, and play it from there, since TotalMedia can play both from folder, no need to mount it with daemon tools, just point the folder of the ripped movie and that's it.

(I attached the script and the HD_Starter script and executable here)

Now I would like to be able to choose the movie from the "videos" section, instead of having to go to HD Player, open Totalmedia, press " 0 " on the remote and choose the folder of the ripped HDDVD or Bluray movie, is there is any way to do this?.

I first thought to add as external player, but MP will accept a file as a movie (ie, a m2ts filetype) not a folder, and totalmedia require a folder to play from hard drive.

Not sure if I'm explaining correctly, sorry if not :D

Any ideas of how to solve it, can the " videos " option be modified for this? or should keep it separated as now (using HD Player, launching Totalmedia and open the folder from it with the remote as I'm doing right now?)
I can play from folder perfectly using the remote with totalmedia but it's not as nice as it would be, to go to Videos, and choose the movie from there :D

BTW: I choose 0 in the remote, because I tried to use # or * but could make it work with it :(

thanks
indkt.

Okay, people have provided a PDVD8 version (I downloaded 3 so far) but none of them seem to get the back button to exit.

...........

Not trusting this program anymore, does someone have a working HD_Starter.exe for PDVD8 *and* back button to exit (for MCE remotes)...???

Yup, I've got same issue with the modded hd-starter and the back button on the mce remote; other than that it works a treat!

Did anyone get a posted modded hdstarter to remap the back button?

The only other thing is that I copied the skin.dll file to the skin folder of pdvd8 but it doesn't show up in the options. it's late and i've probably missed summat somewhere - can anyone help, thx :)

edit:

and a third thing; I'm not keen on the gfx button in MP for Bluray, do I just change the referance to a preferred .png file (if so, any limits on how it should be?

Black screen in Powerdvd

Hi,

Maybe this is not the right place to aks, but perhaps some1 can help anyway as there must be a lot of powerdvd users in this thread ;).

I have installed Powerdvd 7.3 on my MP mediacenter and installed this plugin. But I can't get any Bluray to play properly in powerdvd. I know this has nothing to do with the plugin itself, as I can't get the blurays to play in powerdvd itself. When playing a disk, I only get a black screen. Sound and subtitles are okay!

Any ideas?

You hava an overlay problem, generated by codecs or conflicting drivers (nvidia?).
Been googling around a little, didnt find a fix for you, but i found a working (strange) solution.

Play a dvd in WindowsMediaPlayer, and start the same one at the same time in Powerdvd.

This might fix your overlay problem (as i found in some google results) .... Give it a try :)

Hi ppeterr, I would love to try, but I only have one dvd drive in my htpc, so I don't know how to simultaneously start 2 dvd's. I might be misunderstanding your explanation though...;)

Does this plugin open power dvd in a new window, or does it play within MP? I'm guessing that windows media player cant play blu ray movies even when you have power dvd installed, correct?

I dont currently have a blu ray player but have one on the way :)

PowerDVD runs in its won window - the trick is to get MP to close (minimise) and PDVD to open and then, when finished, get PDVD to close (exit) and MP to resume full screen

Trouble I have is that this just don't work with RC4 - more investigation needed
