Blu-Ray / HD-DVD Player with PowerDVD (a working solution) (35 Viewers)

hopefully someone can clear this up for... does this plugin automatically play the blu ray when its inserted as I am using blue3wide so I dont know how to get the menu item to appear in this skin... also i found this in another thread which is kinda confusin me

Intel Core2 Quad 6600
6 gig RAM
Windows Vista x64
LG HD/Blu-ROM drive (also burns DVD/CD)
nVidia 8600GTS
PowerDVD 7.3
MP 1.0.1
Black & White 1080 SVN r83 (latest version)

I can't for the life of me figure out which plugin to use, which settings to use, etc to get this to work. I normally have MediaPortal running on my secondary monitor which is my 40 inch HDTV. What should I do to get this to work? Thanks in advance.

This is one of the main reasons I was glad to get a second computer so that I could dedicate one as the HTPC. When I had the HDTV on the second monitor, I was using Ultramon to create a shortcut that forcefully moved PowerDVD to the second monitor (HDTV), and maximize it, then had the autohotkey script point to that shortcut.

I can't get HD player working. I use the black & White skin (1080) in MP 1.0.1. I followed up the steps as described om page 1 and used the new HD_starter on page 51 of this topic. In my home menu I don't see the HD player, even not in Plugins. When I press the HD starter.exe file manually in the pluginsfolder, PowerDVD (version 8) starts up and everything is fine. What can I do to fix this problem?

I've made some progressions!! I'm a MP beginner. I found out that there are two types of home screens. The one with the big symbols, and (when you press the home button again) a smaller with only a list of 'starters'. And there is my HD starter. It works fine. Now I've to test my remote to stay back in my lazy chair. I've to use the mouse to operate PDVD. My little son of three years saw Madagascar 2 on Blu Ray today.... He liked it very much!!!!!

Is there a possibility to put the HD starter in my basic home screen (the one with the symbols)??

This should work for XP 32bit systems as well. Media center as well.
