Blue 3 (1 Viewer)

Since I upgraded to RC3, I've been using Blue3 and I quite like it! I downloaded Blue3 Wide from the SVN yesterday, but I get a warning that its the wrong version for my mediaportal? I'm probably being stupid, but can someone explain how to remove the warning, because its looking good once it's running!

Ok, I've just found that the SVN version had a stamp of 0.9.3, while my RC3 was expecting 0.9.2. Does this mean I'm not using the latest stable version?

I see... I tried the extracted skin with RC2 and the TV-Guide was completely broken

I am afraid moving on from RC2 as it was really stable for me. Why do you have to change MP so profound that plugins and even skins does not work any more (no downward compatibility)?

Does someone know if the EPG flickering issue (ATi+Vista+EVR+DXVA) solved with Blue3Wide and this svn?

I like everything about the new skin except for the MEPO Weather icon on the start page - took me a while to work out what this even was! Looks like a nest full of chicken eggs with a golden egg at the back!

SO ... not wanting to call anybody's "baby ugly" without doing some work myself, I made a replacement (in the MEPO vein) based upon the more standard (and thus, I think, more obvious) raincloud-sun icon's similar to those used on TV weather reports etc., as follows:

If you wish to take this (I can always hope then I have a Photoshop version(s) (real-size and larger) with the cloud/sun as a separate layer. I can send these upon request.

..please load it up here, so we can test it

Sorry, just noticed your response...

I've (now) attached the 'big' Photoshop version to this message - contains the merged layer (clouds-sun-shadows) as well as all the individual parts - resize as necessary! I've also attached the 'actual' size version, but this is just the single, merged, layer. Hope this is what you need...

with Blue3 4:3 the following happens:

in music use listview.
start a song with "P" setting is jumb to now playing screen.
go back from nowplaying to list with "backspace"

result: the list is turned from foreground to background (schräg), like it is when the action menu is active. But in this case the action menu is not there. So the list should be straight (gerade).

I hope you get what I mean. Don´t have a screenshot at the moment.

Why do you have to change MP so profound that plugins and even skins does not work any more (no downward compatibility)?

Because SVNs are work in progress, things break, they are for developers.

Also - how do you expect them to work MP without changing things? If you want new skins and new features then you need to get the newest version of MP.

i.e. if Blue3 has a new animation thats only supported in RC3 then you need RC3, as RC2 would have no idea what the animation is, and thus probably error.

I'm sure backward compatibility could be done - but imagine all that extra work!! just not worth it.

When I go to TV Series the window is extremely small and doesnt take up the full screen, it is very odd. Aside from that all the text is all bunched up and overlapping any idea's on how to fix?
