It looks like the equivalent of this missing feature is to run the restart.vbs script from c:\Program Files (x86)\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\ folder via the task scheduler based on the following event the resuming from standby returns:

It works for me. I also had some error message. The trick was to use "Start in" "C:\Program Files (x86)\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\" (see the screenshots).

It would still be nice if the developers kept the option for us so we won't need to use workarounds.

Doesn't seem to do anything for me, with the exact settings above. I'm running Mediaportal on Windows 8, and nothing (different) happens on resume from S3 standby.

Did you try to run the c:\Program Files (x86)\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\restart.vbs script separately (double click on the file or right click - run in the task scheduler)?

Yeah, I tried that initially to make sure and it does run manually, just not via the task (either triggered or when launched directly).

Enabling logging on the Task Scheduler history shows that it does trigger on resume though, and attempts to run the task, but it fails with a "Task Scheduler failed to launch action "C:\Windows\system32\OpenWith.exe" error.[DOUBLEPOST=1372880698][/DOUBLEPOST]In reference to the above, I suspect my issue is related to this:

    http://stackoverflow.com/questions/...t-in-windows-7-task-scheduler-with-messagebox

But even launching the fully pathed script with cscript gives me a "Failed to start task" and just a cryptic Error Value.
