Did some variations of bypassing the Start Screen. Gets quite nasty from an MP point of view and can cause conflicts wither other Software like ClassicShell if used.

I think it is better to create a Wiki entry what to do for Win8 as you should also edit some registry keys that delay the autostart of desktop applications anyway. As these are all System settings MP should not play with them.

Check the following if you have Win8 and did not make adjustments for a living room HTPC:

Added Build 14 to first post:

Changes:

• fixed player OSD stuck at 100% progress bar
• added config option for MP to minimize to tray in fullscreen mode on focus loss
• added config option to reduce frame rate when MP is not in focus
• corrected some minor glitches
• merged in current master
• Updated default, defaultWide and Titan skins for new config options. Not uploaded but available in GIT. Therefore settings inside MP might look strange in some parts (GUI General, General Startup and General Resume) - pls ignore this for now.

Please test, focusing on problems you were seeing with Build 13. You know the drill by now.

I also included the TvPlugin.dll, even though I made no changes to it. Please check if the reported ZapOSD problems still persist with this build. As said I have no TV setup and cannot reproduce.

Known incompatible plugins - pls disable for testing. Plugin maintainers need to fix their plugins.

Yes, I was using current GIT as of yesterday for my testing of the zapOSD issue, and nothing has changed since then, so it won't be fixed.

Anyone having an idea how can I simulate the problem without actually having a TV setup?

It's a simple fix for sure as from @elliotmc's log I know where to look.

Or can someone recommend a a DVB-T dongle for MP, so I can test TV as well? Amazon Link would be nice.
