Your're right. I have a lack of satellite knowledge I don't need DiSEqC at all. I tuned in vertical and horizontal signals late last night. It thought it was required for this purpose.
I ended up not bothering with LNB's pointing to a different satellite and went with a dual LNB for D1, so I don't need a switch. Got channel 9 and all SBS channels including SBS HD looking good. Another aussie channel called GO! is all choppy. Does this channel not have good reception in NZ?
I believe i"ve got a 75 or 85cm dish. It's bigger than the norm.
[EDIT] Nevermind. It's again some issue when switching channels from a freeview HD channel to a non HD channel. I need to stop first and then all is fine.
Apologies for all this traffic. Just got my first satellite dish installed earlier this week.
I was wondering if I can now use the EIT EPG from the satellite for the terrestrial channels. It's better than the XML import system as the EIT includes movie ratings etc, which the xmltv plugin doesn't support reading. I did search the forums but didn't have much luck. Do I need to use the TV Combinations to get this to work? Or is it not possible?
Cheers.
