I didn't realize you could put HD content on DVB-S. I guess it's just inefficient.

Yeah, just not cost efficient... but then maybe it saves lots of people from having to buy newer and more expensive DVB-S2 + h.264 STBs.

Have any of you given VoxCommando a go yet? I have it setup to the point where I can control my HTPC (the client in the kitchen) totally by voice commands :) :) I've played around with it a bit and have VC set up to reply in some cases too eg:

    - Command "Start Listening" - VC says "David I'm listening" :D
    - "Play Artist XXXX" - "Now playing XXXX"
    - "Stand By" - "Standing by"
    - "Set volume 50" - "Volume is set to 50"... etc... Knight Rider? K.I.T? What's that? :D

If you haven't seen VC in action check out this video. VC isn't as tightly integrated with MP as much as it is with XBMC yet but the next release will include a MP specific plugin. Having said that even the test version is excellent :) Highly recommended!!

    Hey guys/girls

I have just changed to EPG Grabber using DVB-T and I can not get the XmlTV plugin to refresh automatically. Could I be missing something? Seems pretty straight forward to setup.
If I run the import manually it seems to work sweet. . .

    Ideas please

I use the command script option, and have it kick off at windows startup (and I think I also have a 'scheduled task' to kick it off in the middle of the night sometime). I can look it up when I get home tonight if you want a copy of the script and instructions, but I think they're here somewhere if you search for them ...

I guess you are talking about the EPG Grabber? I have no problem at all with the EPG Grabber problem, it is doing its thing.

The issue I have is the XmlTV plugin ...

    Hi TranceManNZ

    Have you:
    - ticked "import new tvguide.xml"
    - unticked "import files in new tvguide.lst"
    - set the path to the tvguide.xml

The plugin should detect updates to the XMLTV file and automatically import it.

    Hi again

So you're able to import the data manually but TV Server doesn't detect when the file is updated - is that correct?
