DVB-[anything] can be used for HD or SD equally. Same deal with MPEG 2 and h.264 (MPEG 2 is not only for SD, and h.264 is not only for HD).
A lot of people seem to associate DVB-S2 and HD. I guess that's because DVB-S2 was an enabler for the first HD broadcasts. In reality there's no technical connection. Even DVB-S can be used for HD. Nobody in their right mind would do that unless they had to, because it would be far more costly to broadcast that way. But it could be done.
