The weird part is that it indicates the right monitor I want MP to run on (my 46" HDTV) but instead whenever I launch it, it launches on my main monitor which is a samsung 20".
What do I do? :/

Aaah! Of course! I should've seen it. It should be clicked on by default though, in my opinion. This solved it. Thank you!!

I have attached a screenshot of my Power Scheduler settings and, yes my TV does stay off when a scheduled recording starts.
Regarding the monitor sleeping when playing music, if the screensaver option is set in your MP skin settings try disabling it, I have a vague recollection it may get...

Hi, everytime my computer awakes for scheduled recordings, the monitor awake too and does not switch of during the whole recording...
maybe setting loglevel to debug might pinpoint the difference between normal and stuck?
Preferable with as much disabled as possible
also try to see if anything is happening during stuck for the mediaportal process(resource monitor, disk activity, cpu usage, anything)
maybe other programs competing for resouces?

Since over a year my MP sometimes stucks while showing the welcome screen. It started once a week now it happens every second time...
