I had that problem too and now updated to v.2.0. My problem is now, that all episodes have the "Episode Name": "This client is no longer supported by TheTVdB.com. Please update your client."
I tried clicking on "Clear Update Timestamp" and than click on "Start Import", but that didn't make the episode names to get corrected. I also tried manually remove the name of one episode and then do the import but that didn't help too. The episode stays empty.
How do I get the plugin to reread the episode names from thetvdb.com? I have really many many files so I can't change all the names manually.
Greetings
Miggedy
And I forgot to mention that I don't want to loose my watched flags and for some series I had to make some manual editing, so deleting the DB and do a clean rescan is what I'm trying to avoid.
I've got the same problem as miggedy. I've upgrade to v2.0 and that's working fine. New episodes are no problem. But how do I get it to go back and refresh the now wrong episode names?
I was in the case case than miggedy and I found a way to get the plugin back and running nicely:
- backup your TV Series database file (just in case)
- export the watched flags (there is a link to do that in the configuration panel of the plugin)
- empty the database using the "Empty" button
- restart mediaportal so the file are read again and the database fresh made (right episode names)
- import the watched flags in the configuration panel
I've updated dlls in first post.

I don't know about MP2 but as you said you tried MP1 too, how is the MP music config ?
MP(1) will only use LAV if you select "Internal DirectShow player" as music output, but then you lose gapless playback.
If you you don't have multichannel music you can choose WASAPI as the output and set the number of speakers to stereo.
I have...

Got it working again!!! (y) (y)
It seems the file "DialogMenu.xml" in the theme folder does not have the onX settings in the file by default (after MP 1.36) and when you install a later version of MP.
I modified the MP 1.38 file with the onX settings from MP 1.36. Also I have found the "DialogMenu.xml" from MP 1.36 will work with MP...
