looks great. Perhaps you can put in some more posters. Like 3 or 5. Users will see less of them but thats an advantage. So they wont get distracted by the other posters. It just will give the idea of being a collection of posters.

for me personally showing DVD-art is not consistent with the purpose of a mediacenter; having all media on harddrive and not on sepearte discs. (although the DVD could be shown when an auctual DVD is inserted for playing). But again, this is just my opinion and a user setting is perhaps the best. :)

I think it is more of a nostalgic thingy. Back in the day when we used to go and rent a movie, where you had to pop the disc in your dvd player to watch a movie. I think it looks really cool :) Same goes for music cd's.

While I like the coverart behind the chosen movie, I think it's distracting unless it's the next movie in the list. I look at the covers, see Get Him To The Greek, and look over at the movie list where another movie is sitting. That could be distracting to people, just sayin'. I'll try to do a mockup of something I think would look better.

Ok its in a stack now, some may not like but hey that's the way the cookie crumbles as they say lol. may remove a couple from the bottom of the stack as suggested by joost ;) but i like the stack idea as a whole so think it will be staying and you will be able to choose between dvdart style or stack style or stack when no dvdart is available (y)

That looks smashing! I've already worked up two mockups, so I'll just post 'em for shizz and giggles. ;)

I like the idea behind this but what happens at the end of the list?

Does the arrow at the top right scroll some more buttons?

You're referring to FanArt, but you mean cover art, I think. But what about wide screen fan art. Personally, I like it a lot better than cover art.

What will be the performance impact of loading a bunch of cover art for each line of the list? May be all right because smaller than fan art.[DOUBLEPOST=1384637231][/DOUBLEPOST]

I think Hawkeye is referring to missing arrows or scroll bars. Needed for mouse users.[DOUBLEPOST=1384637426][/DOUBLEPOST]

I would like Emph's 2nd mockup best of all, for all cases, especially if somewhat larger real estate.
