All i did was enable the plugin in the TV Server. Left the defaults as-is. just pointed to where the comskip.exe file was. thats it. pretty straight forward. works superbly on freeview.

Downloaded and extracted version .143 (also tried .144)
enabled it in TV-Server config
pointed to comskip.exe.

When trying to run a test file I see the command window flashes - then nothing

You guys able to run a test from within TVSever config?

Using RC4 and XP SP3.

I've found the donators version of comskip to be the most stable with NZ freeview broadcasts. It's beta (or RC) release of the software so is really in development and sometimes has a shit but i've not had too many troubles with it.

Make sure you don't have comskip enabled in the MP settings as well as the TV Server settings.

If you go to the MCE Buddy website, there is a comskip.ini pack you can download which is updated for each country, so you need to edit your country name to the default comskip.ini that exists in your comskip folder, that should give you better individual results.

Try a few different recordings - a few of mine (not many) didnt work. so maybe its a dodgy file.

Should show you a DOS window running for a minute or two.

Have tried the 143 version and that worked for me, wonder why it will not for you, are you using from mediaportal client or TVServer pc.

Yes, as above answer, usually runs for a couple of minutes max

Answered my own question, why does a DOS prompt not work, not a admin account, or antivirus\antispyware stopping it, take it preview of channels works fine, so should not be a codec issue.

It is a admin account, disabling windows FW didn't help, everything else works just fine...

Where have you got comskip.exe and its relevant files stored, that may be a clue.
