    I could solve both the mouse positioning and rendering of overlapped area by using a full size rendertarget. But this comes with performance impacts. I need to think about optimizations...

    How about defining a theme specific setting for dialog screen oversize.
    The mouse offset issue could easily be solved in by pos = pos + DialogPos - oversize; in HandleMouseMove.

    I've attached the 2nd testbuild to first post. I could fix many small things and implemented first effects!

    Please read notes and post your some performance results:
    In home screen "mediahub", activate renderstats (F10), then switch to MAX PERFORMANCE (2x F11). How many FPS do you get in average?

    On my HTPC the framerate is below 50, which is a problem. So I am curious about other results!

    This means the current version needs more tuning, but first I wanted to have a proper working system.

    Can you also make one when using ApolloOne skin? Only there are new effects included, which affect render performance

    Default vs MaxPerformance on my Celeron 847 system. Not really a difference notable. Main HTPC did not have a keyboard with PrtScrn key, so it's a bit tricky to do screenshots there but I can tell FPS values later without screenshots...

    - Win 8.1 x64
    - Intel Core i3-4130T @2.9Ghz
    - 4 GByte RAM
    - Intel HD Graphics 4400 (1792 MByte)
