[fixed] deploy tool crashes on mpaudioswitcher.ax (1 Viewer)

I have completed the following additional tests:

1. Removed VC++ 2008 KB2467174 from bad PC - rebooted - no change, I still get the access violation trying to register.
2. Installed VC++ 2005 to bad PC (to mirror good PC) - rebooted - no change, I still get the access violation trying to register.

In my tests the MPAudioSwitcher.ax supplied by @arion_p in post 19 fails to register. I got the same access violation (cx00000005) as with the MP 1.2.0 Beta installer.

And the MPAudioSwitcher.ax supplied by @Seidelin in post 17 registers successfully. I also built an installer with this MPAudioSwitcher.ax included and this installed fine.

is it easy to build an installer using the other MPaudioswitcher.ax? i would like to beta test 1.2B but this bug keeps me from installing...

Yes - follow the wiki on getting the code

Copy a good MPAudioSwitcher.ax into C:\svnroot\DirectShowFilters\MPAudioswitcher\bin\Release

Then follow the wiki on Compiling with MSBuild.

You'll then find the MediaPortal and TV Server installers in C:\svnroot\Release

Remember to have be in command prompt with admin privileges, before running "regsvr32 mpaudioswitcher.ax" in the folder with the unzipped .ax file.

Yes - the user is a member of the Administrators group on the PC.

This version works for me. Sorry that version doesn't work for me. I didn't get a succesfull message !

I use the right click menu and choose admin on Command.
