Is there a way to tweak the volume indicator? It's so small in the top. Can it be a bit bigger and at the bottom?

    I'm using avallonis.

Just to add to this, one of the things I'd like to see with the volume indicator, is when it is at maximum volume, and you press the volume up button (just to check that it is at max), nothing shows up.

to change the MP volume OSD would require manually editing the xml files and creating new png images for the osd.

there are 3rd party volume OSDs if you can disable the inbuilt MP volume OSD then you can use a standalone volume osd. or you can use both.

more available with a google search
yes, this could be, but i'm looking for a way not to implement 1000 3th party tools, i'd like to see this stuff in the skin if its possible. I understand it has something to do with .png pictures, i'll try to look into this.

find the volume osd images and change them to desired ones.
then look through all the xml files and find the references to the volume osd image, and adjust the x,y position and width/height tags as needed. To find which xml to edit you either educated guess, or just search all xml files for the png image filename string.

I'm surprised. MediaPortal has always been easy to move forward with. Each release building on the last, until x64 that is. Ran the installer and it installed the x64 version beside and partially on top of my old 1.31 x86 version. and you guessed it, when I tried to remove it, it corupted the 1.31 x86 version so I'm left with a bit...

That was it! :) I had to set it to "Maintain display scaling". I think it was set to "Maintain Aspect Ratio", which added black bars to MediaPortal when playing videos that didn't conform to a strict 16:9 ratio, I suppose. Thanks to everyone for the patience and help, I can finally enjoy videos fully.

If anyone ever experiences the above, I found a fix. Removing and reinstalling MP-TVSeries fixed it. It must have gotten corrupted during the reinstall of MP. I also had to do the same with TRAKT which had some issues too that were not apparent at the time. All is well once again.
