Hi, i have upgraded my tv card to DD Cine CT V6 CI.
http://shop.digital-devices.de/epages/62357162.sf/en_GB/?ViewObjectID=35852406
I'm running a fresh install of win xp sp3, Mediaportal 1.2.3Final and SAF v6.1.3
When i try to watch a channel i get a channel is scrambled message on most of the channels 9 of 10 tries.
However it will decode the following channels fine:
NRK1 Vestlandsrevyen
TV2
Canal 9
Nat.Geo.Channel (SD)
Fox Crime

The channels that can be decoded are on different transponders i belive.
The CAM i'm using is a Smit Conax CAM with a canal digital subscription and is capable of decrypting 2 channels simultaneously.

I've attached logs.
log description:
-Tune to History Chnl HD, Works on second attemt i belive.
-Tune to Nat Geo HD, Fails
-Tune to NRK1 Vestlandsrevyen, Works straight away.

Is there anybody with the same setup that works?
All help is much appreciated.

CAM is enabled i DD config and it is set in TV server config to decode 1 per card. CAM type is set to default.
I have also locked the PCI Bus to 100Mhz and disabled powersave options in bios as DD recommends. Nothing seems to work.
Anyway i shouldn't be able to decrypt some channels if the CAM was disabled.

I should also mention that i have a third TV card in the setup (Terratec) This works fine, but i have disabled this in TV server config to be able to test the DD card. I have aslo tested with the terratec card uninstalled from the system.

Did you change the DD config after the TV Server config?
You need to restart TV Server after any changes in DD config.

Some of the channels that you're "decrypting" are not actually encrypted. For example, TV Server detects that "NRK1 Vestlandsrevyen" is not encrypted when you try to view it.

Your log files did not contain the tuner initialisation, so it would be good if you could:
    1. Open TV Server configuration.
    2. Go to the manual control section.
    3. Click "stop service"... then "start service".
    4. Open MP and test 5 or 6 channels.
    5. In TV Server configuration, click "open log directory".
    6. Zip up the files you find there and post them here.

These logs will confirm whether the DD hardware-specific code is detecting your CI... which it doesn't seem to have in your previous log files.

I believe TV Server has been restarted several times after changes in DD config.

Ok, i didn't realise this. It is reported as scrambeled in the channel list in TvServer config. History Chnl HD is for sure scrambeled.

Your log files did not contain the tuner initialisation, so it would be good if you could:
    1. Open TV Server configuration.
    2. Go to the manual control section.
    3. Click "stop service"... then "start service".
    4. Open MP and test 5 or 6 channels.

    6. Zip up the files you find there and post them here.

These logs will confirm whether the DD hardware-specific code is detecting your CI... which it doesn't seem to have in your previous log files.
I will provide new logs when i get home from work in a couple of hours.

    New logs are attached.

    1. Checked that both tuners are set to DVBC in DDConfig.
    2. Checked that CAM is enabled for both tuners in DDConfig.
    3. Conax CAM is visible and CAM meny works in DDConfig.
    4. Stopped TVserver and deleted old logs.
    5. Start TVserver and MP.
    6. Tune to NRK1 Vestlandsrevyen. Works, fast tune.
    7. Tune to TV Norge HD. Works, but slow tune.
    8. Tune to Discovery. Fails
    9. Tune to TLC Norge. Fails
    10. Tune to BBC World News. Fails
    11. Tune to History Channel HD. Fails
    12. Tune to Canal 9. Works, fast tune.

    I have added another log.
This time i'm able to tune TV Norge HD who is known to be scrambled from previous logs.
I'm unable to tune other scrambled channels. Tried twice.

Should i return my CAM and ask for another?
Is there anyone that has a working setup with DD Cine CT and MP1.2.3Final?

    Thanks fontaine.
Something is not right there but I can't tell what it is.
TV Server sees the CI when it initialises the tuners, but it is not even attempting to use them when you try to view encrypted channels.
What happens if you only link the CI slot to one tuner in DD config, then restart TV Server configuration?

    Logs are attached.
Tried to tune each channel twice. TV Norge HD works. The rest fails.

Is there any hope of getting this to work?
I'm asking because i'm considering to send back the Smith Conax CAM and get a AlphaCrypth Classic CAM instead.
