I can only find the MediaPortal Installer with Series Link and the TvServer Installer with patch for version 1.6.0 Final?

Yes sorry I meant guide data for the radio channels.

Sky doesn't carry listings for radio so you'd have to use another source such as Atlas or DigiGuide.

1. Previews of the TV Channels work but the Molex connector is not connected I have order the SATA power converter to check this. Will be delivered later this week will test and report back.

2, 3, 4 - Can watch TV channels but no SKYEPG. Cables from LNB to TV tuner directly (no loop back)

have tried with both feeds from LNB with same issue. Would like to get everything working before disconnecting sky box.

The logs you posted simply show that TV Server can't get your tuners to lock on signal. That could be due to a number of things, including:

1. Power connection on PC tuner card not connected.
2. Bad configuration causing TV Server to attempt to use a PC tuner that is not connected to the satellite dish.
3. PC tuner connected to set top box loop out and/or via splitters => PC tuner can't work independently, requires other tuners/STBs to be powered on and/or tuned to certain channels.
4. etc.

Therefore, if you want help please give a full description of your LNB, the connections to your LNB, and especially how the set top box (AKA STB, Sky box) and PC tuners are connected.

Are you all still using this plugin to receive EPG for Sky UK channels, or...?
I've read that Sky UK made changes some time ago to prevent PCs from decrypting channels. If that's the case, what use is the plugin now?

I've read that Sky UK made changes some time ago to prevent PCs from decrypting channels. If that's the case, what use is the plugin now?

The changes Sky made stopped most of the subscription HD channels (around 80) from decrypting on non-Sky equipment. FTV, subscription SD and a few subscription HD channels continue to work, the Sky EPG also contains many more FTA TV channels and radio stations than Freesat. As well as listings, the plugin also adds channel numbers, series links, region selection, categorising and sorting, adding new/moved channels and removing old ones, the HD swap function, ignoring subscription channels and logo grabbing (some screenshots here).

The code that I've written handles:

• EPG data
• Sky and Freesat channel numbers
• SD/HD channel number swaps
• Sky and Freesat region selection
• Sky and Freesat channel groups/categories
• channel adding and moving [as part of scanning]

Not covered:

• series link recording - I have the series link ID, but haven't had time to add the series link option to the scheduler and screens yet
• channel group ordering - will have to see if this is possible
• auto/background channel scanning - not planning to add at this stage
• auto/background EPG scanning - handled by built in EPG grabber config
• removing old channels - not planning to add at this stage
• ignoring subscription channels - not planning to add at this stage
• logo grabbing - no idea how that is done => not planning to add at this stage

When it comes to configuration, I'm not 100% settled on how it will work. I think it will be something like:

• option to prefer Freesat or Sky channel names/numbers - I'm not sure whether to set the default as Freesat (probably applicable for more people, but may result in missing channels???) or Sky
• options to select Freesat and Sky regions - channels that aren't intended to be available in region will be added but unticked (ie. not visible in guide) and [I hope - still to do] not included in groups
• option to select SD [Freesat: in case of no DVB-S2 tuner; Sky: in case of no HD subscription and/or HD channels not decryptable] or HD - for channel number swaps
• options to create Freesat and Sky channel groups
• options to disable/enable Freesat and Sky EPG formats - mainly to enable PID use minimisation

Sorry im geting totally confused.
I persume I install the latest MediaPortal (MediaPortal 1 V1.12.0) and also Version 1.4.0.6 of the Sky UK Plugin and Custom Data Grabber version 1.0.0.3.
But what about the files listed Media Portal 1.3.0 Alpha to Mediaportal 1.6.0 Final, do I have to install one of them as well and if so which one?

Having a crash problem every time when trying to do a grab, it must have started within the last week and I have no idea what caused it. Could anyone help please? This is the message I get:

Hello Matt

My guess is that you have incompatible versions of TV Server and/or the custom data grabber plugin installed.
Did you upgrade MediaPortal or TV Server recently?
Did you install an additional/alternative TV Server patch?
Did your PC experience an unexpected power loss (eg. power cut, "hard reset")?

Thanks for the quick response! I had upgraded to 1.12 from 1.11. I tried doing a complete uninstall then reinstalling 1.11 but got the same crash error when trying to grab.

I haven't installed any TV server patches or anything other than the standard default installation

I haven't as far as I'm aware had any unexpected power loss

I'm using the Sky UK plugin version 1.4.0.6 with Custom Data Grabber version 1.0.0.3
