1) the control buttons are very close to the center (those on the left top)

2) why this "welcome to mediaportal" all the time? (yes this goes for the 4:3 version too) ...I mean why the h*ll should MP "welcome" you all day, even if you have the screen there for hours?

3) I am not sure I like the centered date/time... choose a side

I second the third remark. The right side would be the most logical. It seems a little out of balance this way.

I agree with point 2. I was thinking the same thing last night...why are you welcoming me, when I am about to turn you off! lol

I`m using the Norwegian language anyway so it should say "Velkommen" :lol:
Better yet, remove the welcome....

Hey,

I'd like to start on this forum by saying you guys (and gals) are doing a great job on this mediaportal project.

1. I was wondering why the trailer plugin didn't work in this skin.

2. I understand you're gonna make this skin compatible with all plugins? Will this be for the dutch "Uitzending Gemist" plugin too? That would be really nice. (Else i'm gonna have to photoshop it myself, and I would probably f*ck it up...). Maybe you could take a look at the "Online Video" too :wink: . Just some personal requests, I understand that you probably have other priorities

Second that! I haven't been able to try the uitzendingemist plugin because I only used the PMIII skin, which is not compatible with the xml files provided with the plugin.
"Online Video" will be a hit for sure. The provided skin file with that plugin works perfectly, but doesn't look very good.

The original skin files with Uitzending gemist doesn't work very well when simple copy-pasted in this skin.
If no one objects, I'd like to create some xml there, scavenging parts of the original and parts of this skin. I'm quite busy however, so I won't keep pace with Vanessa's extreme speed. Further, I am quite able to start the program photoshop, which is good. The bad side: This describes basicly all the abilities I have concerning image manupulation. I think however enough media is allready present to manage by simple XML editing.

Because "mediaportal" name isn't a good name for HTPC software, (exist others cool and nice names for this, the "logo" look's older and not have direct relation with the software and the Font type it's ugly.

I think as gui designer that MP need a big change on this.

MP need leave this work (choose fonts, logo, name, etc) to GUI MP Team.

*Can i create a PNG animation for welcome menu.
*Can i create a text with a message in your own language.

* MediaPortal is a great name and i'm attached to it
* The logo is a minimalist MP letters representation (but I agree that it needs some fresh air) + perhaps a "pause" and "record" hidden in it ???
* The font, I wouldn't have chosen it , but it's here :roll:

For me a home menu animation would be great (especially designed by you)

I did a quick fix to TVOSD where the AM PM crosses over to the description of whats on now & next.
I zipped the new file TVOSD.xml and can get it here.

Just unzip it into the "3DMP-Blue" or "3DMP-Grey" DIR and replace the existing file.

Just liking this skin more & more.
