Is there any way to forcefully combine two movies once in the media manager? I cannot work out how.

it's strange that the same name format is getting grouped differently like your examples. I'll try and see if i can get it to show the same behaviour. I expect it to either group them all or group none.

From the manager you'd have to reassign the movies.
To force grouping (in the future) or during reassing the movie files they have to be in the same folder

1) Go to advanced settings
2) Movieimporter -> General
3) Set "Always Group Files In The Same Folder" to True

Thanks for your quick reply. I don't really fancy having sub-folders for movies that have two or more files, so hopefully you can identify what might be going on.

Look at the completed list, I notice as well that a movie I scanned in 0.55c "The Midnight Meat Train (2008)-CD1.avi" and CD2 did not combine this time, yet I distinctly remember them grouping in the last scan.

This title groups fine in my test setup.
I'm looking into it now can you supply me with more titles that didn't group?

Yes i did copy the media\movingpictures graphics and they are in the ..\skins\monocchrome\media\MovingPictures folder (is this correct?)

A screenshot i can do when i get home this evening

I don't use Monochrome, but it has "build in" support for MovingPictures.
As mentioned in the readme:

   Monochrome

Perhaps then you actually do not want to use the included images

Please read the readme.txt file. There are complete instructions for installing the plgu-in and the generic skin in there. As someone above mentioned though, Monochrome has built in support for for Moving Pictures so you do not need the generic skin in this case. This is explained in the readme.txt file. Open up the readme.txt and goto the links listed for monochrome to make sure you have the latest version and updated files.

absolutely great work!

my hand picked poster.jpg's worked after changing some settings
over 200 movies with no problems

BUT (theres always one), this happens: , and there doesn't seem to be a way to fix it

also something i'd like: "remove movie, keep file" (why does the X say "ignore files of this type"?) and "clear database"

I'm using MovPic with Blue3wide & Generic Moving Pictures skin files. Tried to set "largethumbs" in Settings.

If I leave the thumbs on the right side (push right Button on last thumb at right side) I can't get back to other thumbs. MP has to be restarted to select/move to other thumbs. I expected to get to the next line (prefered solution) or at least to the beginning of the current line.


Other Problem with thumbs The Background/Fanart is transparent.

Hrmm your first issue sounds like a usability problem with the generic skin. I will see about getting an updated version for you. I am not sure what you mean by the backdrop is transparent though. Could you give more details?

1. Still have a problem (with Largethumbs) and leaving list right side: No more moving possible. I have to restart MP to select/move other movies.

2. With largethumbs there seems to be the title under the first row.

3. Backdropps with thumbs are fine, thanks!
