    hey team,
I thought with mp 0.6 the movie importer checks out the covers from themoviedb.org (TMDb)
but I've noticed that this isn't true, because in the movie manager are a lot of covers missing which are available on the db

    have I missed something?
    greets :)

No you are right.. currently only backdrops are pulled from tmdb. We are working on the cover and movie details part. However currently the best option is to put the MoTechProvider above impawards in the datasource priority list. You will have correct covers for almost every movie that's has an imdb id.

Didn't see this in the issues list, thought I'd ask here. Not sure if this is a RC4 or Moving Pictures issue.

I did a clean install of RC4 and installed the latest Moving Pictures. When I start a movie, then pause it, go back to the list to play another movie, hit play, it jumps back to the previous movie, then back to the movie info screen, where I just told to start, but never plays the second movie. Any ideas? If I exit MP it always plays the first movie fine. This did not occur in RC3. Thanks for continuing development on this great plugin btw!

You're right I was able to reproduce the problem. I created an issue for it here.

I'm sorry, but you can't expect users to search this whole thread for functions. That should be included in the docs. However I did find it easily that it was the info button; great interface!

What do you mean by "is down the line" ? Is it not sure it will be implemented?
Yeah the need for documentation and a proper manual is becoming more and more important. We are going to have a wiki setup soon, but it just takes time. I will try to get it started in the next couple of day though.

As for mediainfo.dll support, by down the line he meant yes it will get implemented, but it's not on the immediate to do list. I guess you are primarily wanting logos support? I realize this would be a great feature and it is something that we will definitely implement, but we have to prioritize things. The plug-in is brand new and we can't add everything all once. There are really only two active coders on the project right now, and we are doing this stuff in our spare time. :p

Hello, yes the problem is reproducable- It happens every time i have played a movie, and yes I am in list view.
I have to look in to how to post log files since I havent done that before, same with posting screenshot.

Dont have much time to do so at the moment, but will try to figure it out as soon as I can.

Thanks for your support, and quick replies.

Here comes a screenshot of my problem.

Has this issue (page 13 of this thread) been fixed yet? I'm still on 0.5.6 (out of town and haven't updated my media center yet) and mine does this same thing EVERY time I play a movie. I have to completely quit out of Mediaportal and reload it again to have it look normal. If this annoying issue were fixed I think Moving Pictures would be perfect (everything else works flawlessly for me, save for the backdrop loading times). I'm going to keep watching this thread and probably hold off updating my media center and plugins till MP 1.0 is released.

Well I am not sure. We still have an open issue for what I think is the same problem in our tracker, I added a link to your post to make sure we look at as many angles as possible. To be honest though I am about 95% certain this is a problem with MediaPortal and how it handles images through DirectX. Moving Pictures does does not really deal with this sort of stuff. Those images that are missing are specified by the skin and the plug-in does not even know about them. If it were the cover artwork or backdrop that might be a different story. Mainly I put the issue in the tracker so that, if the problem is not resolved in RC4, I or another member of the team will remember to try to track it down and submit a patch for MediaPortal.

There are quite a few changes to how this stuff works in MediaPortal in RC4 though, so I think it is possible this might correct the problem for you. I would probably first try a different skin, and if that didnt solve things, I'd try RC4.

    Really nice Plugin! :)

But one Problem: MovingPicture automatic updates the database (it looks for new/removed files) when I start Mediaportal. I have all my movies on a network server and the server has to wake up every time when Mediaportal starts and MovingPicture Plugin is enabled.
Is it possible to update the database manually or only if I enter in MovingPictures inside Mediaportal?

In TVSeries Plugin, i can adjust this with a simple click! It would be very nice to have the same option in Moving Pictures. Please, could you improve this?!

    :D
