Tony, i'm having issues with the latest TsReader, and i noticed these issues with a previous version also. I had to do some more testing against the 1.10 Pre Release TsReader version to be sure it is related, so i assume it's TsReader.

The issue is best descriped as a micro-stutter, very well visible on horizontal pans or scrollbars. There is nothing (at least for as far as i can see) in the logs, and i think what i see is best descriped as the 'slowmotion A/V sync' we see on channel change. This few seconds of stuttering seems to happen during the entire playback. zapping back in the timeshift buffer almost always fixes it. Rolling back to 1.10 Pre Release TsReader also fixes the problem.
Logs of latest version + v3.0.82.5 (2014-11-25) attached. Curious if you see anything in them!

As a side note: the issue occurs randomly, and without horizontal pans/scrollbars it might sometimes even be a little hard to see.

    Hi HomeY,

Can you change 'EnableBufferLogging' to '1' in the TsReader registry settings (HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Team MediaPortal\TsReader) and generate another set of logs please ?

After that, try enabling 'Auto A/V Sync correction' in LAV Audio decoder and do another test.

Sure. Just to be clear: You want a logset when the issue occurs, right? Since it's a random issue which isn't easy to see, or even reproduce.
    ** EDIT **
'Lucky' us, after enabling the buffer option, the first attempt reproduces the problem. I'll let it run for another minute so it fills the logs a bit further and will attach.

For testing purposes, no problem either (but i expect this to cause issues with movies/series, since i use MPAR, which need this option disabled in combination with LAV Audio).

OK, enabled A/V sync in LAV Audio, started LiveTV (scrollbar is on entire day on this channel) and reproduced again.
I have a feeling it's getting worse with this LAV option enabled, since head movements from left > right also show the issue. horizontal pans also.
    Logs attached.

Can you try it using LAV Video Decoder (you are using PDVD at the moment) ?

That log looks OK - in fact the speed control isn't even activated for the first 30 sec after start of play (and in that log it isn't doing anything anyway, so it's not that causing the problem).

Already on that, trying to reproduce with EnableBufferLogging=1, but having a hard time trying to reproduce it. Although this could indicate an issue with PDVD14 codec, i have to say that when i use PDVD14 + 1.10 PreRelease TsReader, i haven't been able to reproduce either.

    I'll keep trying ;)

Hmm... starts to sounds like a challenge!
I'll see if i can make a short clip (i did 1 a few weeks ago for Seb), but i recall that watching TV through my phone's camera didn't show the issue as it does, when i watch TV directly.

I'll look back through the code changes to check what's changed on the video side, but most of the changes have been on the audio side of things.

LAV + EnableBufferLogging=1 >> Unable to reproduce till now.
LAV + EnableBufferLogging=1 + LAV A/V sync enabled >> Unable to reproduce till now.

If you want to try and narrow it down to a TsReader version when it started happening (using PDVD video decoder) this is the first of the recent series of updated TsReader binaries - https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/threads/audio-delay-option-stuttering-issue.126786/#post-1092504 - then this one - https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/...n-stuttering-issue.126786/page-2#post-1103751 - then this one - https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/...ound-ceton-comcast.124274/page-5#post-1105193

It took about 5 tunes before i could reproduce it, but it happened with the first TsReader i tried: TsReader_v3.0.84.1
    Logs attached.

This is with EnableBufferLogging but without the LAV A/V sync correction enabled.

Just to be sure i'll go test PDVD14 + 1.10 Pre Release TsReader (v3.0.82.5) again, and do some comparising with LAV Video also.

I've put a video in my dropbox (around 80 MB size) which hopefully gives you a better idea about the issue.
