DVB EPG Update? (1 Viewer)

I'm using a Hauppage Mova-T 500 dual DVB-T card. I expected the EPG to be updated over the air and to be available very quickly after MP starts. however, the update seems to take ages. Anyone know why and how to foce an update?

It does as MP gives it low priority, has been known to cause stuttering TV.

clearing epg and reupdating is done in setup for both TVE3 and MyTV.

If using TVE3 make sure epg timeout either 12 or 15 or you may not get full epg.

Hmm my problem is similar although the log says its getting the EPG but nothing appears. I know that updating does work as I can get it to occur easily in another HTPC program. Perhaps I'm just being impatient and should let it run.
