Just to let you know I did a couple more tests regarding the render time and with the "subs off default" core and standard dshowhelper, it does increase when MP loses focus (sometimes I just had to move the mouse to my other screen, other times I had to click on a window, other times I had to scroll), whilst with part_DWM dshowhelper, it stayed the same.

OK, I can't see anything private in Mediaportal install folder so I'll upload that later (I'll let you know so you can grab it before someone else deletes it!).

Sorry, DefaultWide skin with core v8 didn't help. TV->play recording worked first time, then going back to TV it locked up.

OK, last test was with part_DWM dshowhelper.

With standard dshowhelper and DefaultWide skin it seems OK.

I think there must be something else going on though, as Debug Mode seems to be OK even when I'm using part_DWM dshowhelper and I don't think running in Debug Mode can change which dshowhelper is being used?

Second set of logs is running in Debug Mode with part_DWM dshowhelper. I noticed that MPStartIt isn't used in Debug Mode, so I'll try disabling that.

No luck. it seemed to be working better with MPStartIt disabled but it locked up eventually.

Hmm, isn't Browse the Web disabled? It (and most of the other plugins) were disabled here before I backed up the folder.
