DVD Playback (1 Viewer)

hi,

i have mp 0.2.3 version
and i cant run some original dvd´s like desperate housewifes but i can read all dvd copies
i can see it in WMP but not in MP
ive tryied with diferent codec´s in MP configuration

Hi,

please fill out your systems specs and post your logs.
- Start MP
- Try playing a DVD
- Stop MP
The logs can be found in /Team Media Portal/MediaPortal/logs/

What is happening, when you try to play a DVD?
- Nothing
- Black Screen
- Error Message
- Only one thing play (video or audio)

ill get the logs later in the day...

i have an ati x300 video card
i have installed nvidia purevideo
and i get just a black screen with no audio and the dvd inst beeing read

I posted a bug report about DVD problems a week or two ago but nobody even responded. I can really understand that with the small team it is difficult to address every problem but it is the only way to make MP the best HTPC software out there...

I posted a bug report about DVD problems a week or two ago but nobody even responded.

Sometimes if no one can reproduce this themselves, they actually forget to answer you, not great, but it happens.

Anyway using DVD works fine here, this is using Friday's svn.

Tried this with and without Drivespeed enabled, this is using PowerDVD7 codecs.

Known possible causes of DVD playback failure are Drivespeed settings for cd\dvd in general settings, and hdcp grafix having 2 monitors\tv's being output at the same time, but cannot test if this may be a problem now, as no dual output..

ps the only thing your logs told me in your other post, is that you are using monochrome skin.

i disabled drivespeed and i got the same problem.
im working on a single tv
but why does it work with copy dvd´s and not originals????

Ok, so I installed the latest SVN (17500) and now the DVD stuttering is gone...But now there is this problem for which I made a bug report yesterday:

That's usually some form of DRM on the DVD itself, PDVD, WinDVD usually have the paid for keys to be able to play them.
