How/Where do I change the encoder so that my shows are recorded in .mpg instead of .dvr-ms

    Hi,

    nowhere, this cannot be changed. In fact dvr-ms already is mpeg, it only has a different container (wrapper). You can strip of this container without quality loss. MP->TV->Recordings->Compress or manually with graphedit.

    If I set auto-compress, it says 5 hours.. so every 5 hours it will auto-compress any recorded shows?
