This is sad. I've also read about this yesterday. Some people mentioned MPC-BE as alternative, but I'm not sure how much own development is in there and what was simply taken over from MPC-HC.

other alternatives would be PotPlayer or MediaPlayer .NET (MPDN)

Yeah, it's a bit sad. Then again, MPC-HC does everything I need it to do as-is, so it will probably be a long time before I need to think about using a different player.

I don't know about MP2 but as you said you tried MP1 too, how is the MP music config ? MP(1) will only use LAV if you select "Internal DirectShow player" as music output, but then you lose gapless playback. If you you don't have multichannel music you can choose WASAPI as the output and set the number of speakers to stereo. I have...

Greetings to all Denizens of the land of MediaPortal... It seems our Zap2XML/GraceNote access is broken again. I (as many others) have been using the latest NewZap2xml_6 and it has worked flawlessly. A few days ago it all died. I wonder if anyone is working a solution to save the masses. I am hoping the good citizen of past is...

Hi there, since I changed TV and HTPC's CPU, I'm wondering if this guide: Guide could be considered still good today, since it's been almost 13 years since then and it's still referring to a resolution of 1080p? I say this because I have a new Panasonic 4K HDR TV, and with that settings, even if I have an old Gygabyte GPU (bought...

Well, all that remains is to find someone who will add this render if it is a render.

If it's an apartment block, it's quite likely that the LNB is something exotic that handles Sky and others. Try a different LNB frequency (and possibly the low and high frequency settings. I know little of such things, but apparently Sky is often 10750. Give it a try. Freeview is horizontally polarised.
