How can I extend the cable between my laptop and the LCD? I want to wall mount it, but the cable doesn't reach that far.

it depends on a number of things.
You can easily buy extension cables ay of the type of outputs that go between PC and monitor.

You can add a couple of these together to get more distance, but you'll get better results with better quality cables.
I think for VGA you can go up to about ten metres, but depending on the resolution you are using you will also find the signal gets worse as the distance gets longer.

My suggestion is to buy a cable and try it. They're not too expensive.

I also have never used a set-top box with MP, but I think that you need to use an IR emitter (aka "IR blaster"). The IRSS software controls the emitter, and transmits IR signals under the direction of MP. The IR signal is received by the IR receiver within the set-top box, and so can be used to change channel and so on. The set-top...

Hi, First off: there are some issues with the latest Mediaportal (32bits vs 64bits), so that is one of the issues you're stumbling with. If you take the previous version (1.31) it should work as expected. For IPTV there is also a different option (with different pros and cons): Onlinevideos. I'm using that sometimes for my IPTV as...
