Try this: don't try to run your application from "Launching Files" (leave this blank).

Instead, go to the "Files" tab, select "New," type a name for your program in "Properties" --> "Title" and then place the full path to your program, including arguments, in the "Properties" --> "Filename." For example, in "Filename" I have
"C:\Program Files\Homeseer\hsc.exe" -x N2 off
Which calls a program to turn light N2 "off." Note my use of quotes in the full path to the program and lack of quotes around the arguments. Make sure to check "Quotes around filenames" on the "Details" tab.

Good luck.

THANKS ENDLESS!

I have finally succeeded in starting the programs, as you have recommended me, and these are the screeshots:

Excuse if I set you another question, because when I select the folder of the interested program, it immediately is not activated but it postpones me to the sub folder?

Cordially I thank
Domenico

I don't think so, because MP has no way of knowing at which timestamp the external player stopped playback. Best way to achieve this would be to use an auto-resume feature in your external player itself. (MPC-HC can do that, I don't know about VLC)

After many hours of troubleshooting I've given up and accepted that it's just "one of these things" when using madVR for watching live TV. I've now ticked the box to "Use EVR for LiveTV", with a default display refresh rate of 50Hz. In combination with tweaking some of the Nvidia 3D settings for the MP executable only, I now have a...

I don't know about MP2 but as you said you tried MP1 too, how is the MP music config ? MP(1) will only use LAV if you select "Internal DirectShow player" as music output, but then you lose gapless playback. If you you don't have multichannel music you can choose WASAPI as the output and set the number of speakers to stereo. I have...

@CyberSimian Sorry, I missed your last post. I ended up doing a clean install on the client and all is well now. It still doesn't let me go back in time when I change channels but it does continue operating from that point on. I'm ok with that. Thanks for your help! EDIT: I now downgraded the server (as I did with the client above)...

Can anyone tell me the step-by-step procedure for bringing up a second channel in pip mode? I can only do it sometimes, after many tries, and it’s not clear what I am doing that makes it work on those occasions when it does. Cannot find guidance on the site. Thanks, N. Again, if anyone knows how to do this, would be much...
