Excellent question! Remember that the current situation is at least partially stemming from the fact that there is no source code for the last official Cul8er version.

has any consideration been given to the possibility to disable currently showing fanart from the MP GUI. I'm sure there would be a lot of hoops to jump through, but being able to quickly disable newly scraped unsavory fanart when young, innocent eyes are present would be helpful.

I actually was thinking, that I would like to have a menu option to immediately disable a new scraped image that displays when playing (for example, in RadioTime) where you don't have the ability to review the image before it is displayed.

@ajs , since you are anyway looking at the functionality of FH, could you imagine to merge FH and your MePo Tools into a "New FH", which runs the whole spectrum of information? I am not sure about the internals of MePo but there seems to be quite some overlap with the MusicInfoHandler too.
