I have tv shows and movies in separate folders on my NAS, I'd love it if we could exclude my 'movies' folder on import.

Spragleknas: MediaPortal is in feature freeze. The feature request is for myTVSeries which is a plugin.

scythe000: i agree with GazpachoKing, i dont see the difficulty especially because the importer for tvseries and movies are separated. They dont need to point to the same folder

I worded it poorly:

NAS Drive: 'movies' folder, plus a bunch of folders with tv series all in the root. I have the root set for videos, but it also scans the movies folder. It would be nice to exclude subfolders with dvd-extras or something, as well.

ok so why not put ROOT/Movies in the movies importer, and ROOT/show1 + ROOT/Show2 + ROOT/Show3 in the myTVSeries importer?

try it this way:

ROOT\Movies\<Movie 1>
ROOT\Movies\<Movie 2>
ROOT\Movies\<Movie 3>
ROOT\Shows\<Show 1>\Season 1
ROOT\Shows\<Show 1>\Season 2
ROOT\Shows\<Show 2>\Season 1
ROOT\Shows\<Show 3>\Season 1
ROOT\Shows\<Show 4>\Season 1
ROOT\Shows\<Show 4>\Season 2
ROOT\Shows\<Show 4>\Season 3

Now you can import from ROOT\Movies and from ROOT\Shows seperatly.

My problem is that I would like to switch from Kodi to Mediaportal. In Kodi, putting an Extras folder in the same folder as the movie automatically manages all the extras on the Bluray, so my library is organized in this way. Moving everything would be a very long job (I have more than 2800 movies), plus I would lose the Extras...

I'm running 2.5 with the WMC skin. I have .mp4 files, along with the related .srt files in the same folder. I can watch the movies just fine. In past versions of MP, like 2.4x, I could press the More Info button on my remote twice, and on the second press, an option for showing/choosing the subtitles was listed. I'd select the...

I made some updates to the Wiki page describing the <import> and <include> tags, including adding a couple of new xml examples. For the first example, I highlighted the example text and eventually found the location in the menus where I could select the CODE macro to have the example text formatted as a code example. So far, so good...

After Tv Movie EPG Import++ is unrepairable, I tried Tv Movie EPG Import. Unfortunately, the import gets stuck here. Does anyone have an idea why this could be, or does it still work for anyone at all?
