Add -threads 4 to the <codecParameters> setting in C:\ProgramData\MPExtended\StreamingProfiles.xml for all ffmpeg profiles.
(Also set the <Customized> setting to true at either the top or the bottom of the file to avoid it being overwritten on a future MPExtended upgrade).

What do you mean with "proof"?
Well, it hurts concurrent stream performance. But yeah, I agree this is a sensible setting to use by default.
