    Yes, but those plugins had follw.it incorporated into the plugin by default. It would update watch status across multiple media machines within Movies and TV Series screens/database (I use StreamedMP skin). It made for seamless integration across multiple machines. Will Trakt be able to do that is my question. In the brief time I had to play with it, I'm not sure. I will have to experiment more with it.
    Yes, it does everything plus more.

    It also addresses a few bugs that follw.it syncing had which was never fixed e.g.
    https://code.google.com/p/mptvseries/issues/detail?id=543
    https://code.google.com/p/mptvseries/issues/detail?id=544

    In summary, for syncing across plugins it supports:
    * watched state
    * unwatched state (e.g. toggle to unwatched in GUI, play history will be respected)
    * library (you own it if you have the file on disk).
    * unlibrary (option to cleanup if no longer on disk (this was never an option for tvseries on follw.it))
    * series ratings
    * episode ratings
    * movie ratings
    * lists (e.g. create and sync movies in lists to MovPics / MyFilms categories)

    There is probably more but that's off the top of my head.

    Next version will even sync the resolution of the file e.g. HD1080p.

    Just because it was integrated in the plugins doesn't make it better. Trakt was integrated in TVSeries once upon a time and was moved out into a seperate plugin so it can handle everything from one place for every plugin in MediaPortal plus do more in terms of the social aspect of trakt.tv.

    I started with follw.it purely to keep watched flags synched across three machines. I then tried Trakt instead out of curiousity and much prefer it, I use Moving Pictures and MP-TV Series on all machines also.

    Particularly the calendar function on the website is really useful, I check it most days to make sure I haven't missed any shows. And I use custom lists to keep track of any upcoming films / tv series that I hear about and want to see, then remove them from the lists when I get them and Trakt records when I watch them, and I usually rate them too.

    I like it :)

    EDIT: Oh, and going into the Trakt plug in in MediaPortal, I can access the lists, see recommendations and watch trailers. I like that too!

    I think i will just re-setup my TV Server with an fullfeatured MePo and centralized DB's for Moving Pictures an My TVSeries.
    And know that this can lead to conflicts in the databases, but i think this is the only good alternative to using trakt.

    Why......? o_O

    What is your beef with Trakt, have you tried it?

    Yes i have tried it.
    Thats the reason why i ask here for a solution which is not trakt.tv.

    Okay, but maybe we can help you to make trakt.tv work for you, as, as you are aware, the other options are quite nuclear in comparison.

    What are your issues with Trakt?

    Hi.
    unwatched state (e.g. toggle to unwatched in GUI, play history will be respected)
    Never worked for me. Not in GUI, not in trakt plugin not on trakt website. Never was able to un-watch any episode. Un-watching whole seasons or series also never worked for me. No matter which MP1 version, no matter which browser I was using.

    unlibrary (option to cleanup if no longer on disk (this was never an option for tvseries on follw.it))
    Never worked on trakt, not in GUI not in plugin not on website.

    I can set to watched and I can add to library on trakt. But I never was able to reverse those. Only way this was working for me was to clear the whole library and resync it.

    For movies I'm managing watched status with tMM now. In TVSeries I can export the watched status and re-import it. Very useful since I can't use follw.it any longer... and for MP2 I've started writing a tool to do the same as trakt is like taking a sledgehammer to crack a nut for what I want to achieve.

    It is odd that people are having different experiences. I have toggled the watched status to unwatched via the MP1 GUI for films or tv series that I want to watch again, and it has worked fine and synced okay across all 3 of my MP1 machines.

    Thanks guys. Tried it last night and it synced the watched tag across the media machines. I'll look into some of the other features as well.

    Thanks again.

    Hi.
    Just to prove it's not working...
    Tried to "unwatch" S2E10 of Major Crimes.

    Nothing happened at all...:mad:
    And I never saw any other reaction, no matter what I've tried...

    Another thing I just saw...
    Episode is added to collection June, 19th but was watched on March, 22rd. I think I'm a time traveller.
