Does this mean that i then do not need the fritzbox callmonitor pc application as a sidestep to generate the adr file?

The MediaPortal plugin can import the phonebook directly from Fritzbox modem then?

Yes, that's true. FritzBox Manager is already able to access the FRITZ!Box address book. But for the call notifications a seperate local address book is currently used. I like to change that but this means a lot of work

Horned_reaper: i only use the call notifications and i always have to import the adr file. If you can develop a solution so the plugin can get the notification info from fritzbox modem that would be great and saves time maintaining import adr's on all clients.

    Hi all,

I just bought a 7240 and this plugin would be ideal when music is playing and the phone goes but is too quiet.
Does this work with my model and what about the skinfiles, will there be any changes so that more skins are supported?
I'm using Default so for the moment no luck there either.

Maybe it's not a bad idea to add the models/firmware versions that already supported in the opening post.

    P.

I do not have this FRITZ!Box model so I cannot say if it works with your configuration.
Surely I can add the supported FRITZ!Box models and firmware but therefore I need support from the FRITZ!Box Manager lobby. Feedback from all of you is welcome!

... and what about the skinfiles, will there be any changes so that more skins are supported?
I'm using Default so for the moment no luck there either.

You can copy the following files/directory from the "..\Skins\Default" folder to your skin folder:
    FritzManager.xml
    Media\hover_FritzBox.png
    Media\FritzBox

Maybe some optical relevant adjustments in the FritzManager.xml are necessary. If you have some experience with skin development you can send me files for other MediaPortal skins. So I can add them to the installer file and share it with other FRITZ!Box manager users

Hi horned_reaper, it seems to work with my 7240 but I have a few issues:
    1) most important: when a call arrives, should there not be a message window showing the number from the caller?
    2) sometimes I see the callers list and sometimes it's empty
    3) when entering the phone menu, the screen background is black instead of what the default skin looks like
    4) in the configuration -> General tab: the 'Extensive logging' remains empty unless when testing. Maybe this is why I get not caller info?
    5) in the 'Incoming call sound' box, should I enter the full path to a sound file and what kind of file is allowed?

    Thanks in advance

Hi horned_reaper, it seems to work with my 7240 but I have a few issues:
    1) most important: when a call arrives, should there not be a message window showing the number from the caller?
Please enable Debug log level in the MediaPortal settings, reproduce the problem and have a look at the MediaPortal log file! Also you can try to add phone numbers to the phone book and see if the call notification then comes.
    2) sometimes I see the callers list and sometimes it's empty
The log file should tell us what's wrong.
    3) when entering the phone menu, the screen background is black instead of what the default skin looks like
That's normal. I will add the blue background for the Default and DefaultWide skins to the wish list.
    4) in the configuration -> General tab: the 'Extensive logging' remains empty unless when testing. Maybe this is why I get not caller info?
The text field under the General tab only shows information to connection tests. All other log messages are stored in the MediaPortal log file.
    5) in the 'Incoming call sound' box, should I enter the full path to a sound file...?
You can enter the full path or the file name if the sound file is stored in MediaPortal folder.
...and what kind of file is allowed?
I know that wave files are accepted. To be honest - I did not test yet if other file types like MP3 also work. Just try it!

Hi, I did what you have advised:
    - enabled debug log level
    - added a phone number & ticked the 'Show Notification' box
    - added a soundfile like this C:\Windows\Media\Windows Ringin.wav
    but no difference.

Here are the parts of the log file that are related to this after a playlist with music was started:

Regarding the skin: that's not a big deal, just mentioned it in case you didn't know this and I also made a slight modification on the image for the home menu which I attach in case you are interested. I have switched the white, rectangular background to transparent.

Looks like the connection to the FRITZ!Box cannot be established properly. Is there maybe a firewall blocking the communication? Is the FRITZ!Box password entered the the FRITZ!Box Manager config? Do you use the phone book function of the FRITZ!Box?

I believe with this modified version i have seen issues that the notifier disapears when a call is terminated but the playback is not resumed. Pressing play again on the remote helps.
Stepping back to archived version to check this in daily use again.

When I tested MP 2.5 some months ago using TVE3.5, I found that "scan for channels" failed to find any channels when I selected a DVB-T2 tuner (a TBS 6284) :(, but succeeded when I used a DVB-T tuner (a Pinnacle 2000i) :). Obviously the Pinnacle found only those channels broadcast in DVB-T MUXes (in the UK we have both DVB-T MUXes and...
