    Hi and welcome :)

Sounds pretty much like video card issues. Are you on latest drivers? Do you match requirements?

See my signature on how to fill in your system specs and how to attach logs.

Videos in Windows media player look great, still green with blue lines in mediaportal. Since they're fine in wmp, could it still be a video card issue?

A couple of things you could try.

In FFDShows output tab, untick YUV12, any difference!!!

Try using EVR as renderer, this is under MPconfig\Codecs setting, this will break dxva for your video card though.

After that it looks like either DX9 is not fully supported by your graphics card, which it is supposed to be (WMP uses overlay), or there is a wrong setting under the intel driver settings in windows.

Sorry if not much help, most of us use ATI or Nvidia for a reason, they just work.

    Regards

As WillHe3rd hasn't replied (or even said :D), I thought I'd post here to let others know about my findings...
I also have an Intel (Laptop-built-in) card in my new setup, and feared that IT was the cause. (which it might still be)

I already switched to EVR (running XP), and it solved the problem, but I wasn't very happy about the quality.

After switching off "YV12" (Video decoder config --> output --> Planar YUV) the problem was totally solved!
@ first, I also turned off "High quality YV12 to RGB conversion" (output --> RGB), but it turned out that was not needed...

    So, better late than never:

i love how subtitles are implemented in the MP2 videoplayer, this is just perfect. 1080p playback is also very good. But video playback in MP2 is buggy when playing 4k material. Therefore: PLEASE add an option for an external video player! I'd LOVE to have VLC back as videoplayer, like in MP1! This works perfectly. You will make a...

I do not know why this xml was in my theme folders, it must have sneaked in some time ago (years?). I simply removed the file. The Latest Media Handler plugin seems to be working as expected. I've had no lock-ups.
