I am using the Nova-S Plus without any issues... Use the latest release of the TV Server and use the drivers that came on the CD for the Nova-S card (that is what I used)... it should work fine...
Try removing drivers and if possible change the PCI slot its installed in, may be a conflict, reinstall with the drivers, using the hauppauge software try scanning.
If that fails you may have a faulty card\connection\lnb.
