Just Cyberlink, coreavc (but not used), mpc-hd 64bit , ac3filter and .flv splitter for flashvideo and apple quicktime, standard microsoft win7 codec and ati 10.2 driver with 10.2 avivio codes (also not used).

Hi,

I recently tried XP. I can get get a fluid picture, but with dropped frames in VMR9. XP had too many other issues for me so I'm back to vista.

In vista I get these results: with VMR9 I get no dropped frames, but image goes with 25 fps. With EVR I get fluid motion (50fps) but with dropped frames. Windows 7 got the same issues.

Can we call this a bug?

I had this problem and it seemed to be because my client machine (with 100mbit lan connection) was plugged into my gigabit switch. My server has a gigabit connection and my other clients with gigabit connections were all fine. I plugged my 100mbit client into my router and all was fine. I purchased a gigabit card for about £15 and then plugged it back into the gigabit switch and all problems have gone away.

Something changed in MP though, as I'd been using this setup for years without issues, and like some here, the HD files always played back fine from outside MP.

Try disabling aero in win7/vista. this reduces the load probably, but can introduce image tearing at random.

I just had the same issue but than with a hd3450. It is too low powered to handle hdtv 1080 interlaced video and de-interlace it. Up untill de-interlacing mode "adaptive" it does work now without aero enabled. This together with dshowhelper.dll version 2 from Owlsroost (development forum > general > MP1 EVR presenter...
I rarely see image tearing

I'm also trying Windows Vista lite at the moment. So aero is not even available. During the weekend I will switch back to the full Vista (which also had these issues).

Try and update your BIOS. I myself would not believe it, but since i did it, everything runs like a charm.

Ok, updated my bios. No change.

Which version of the nvidia driver is everybody using? Now I am on 182.50. Maybe that makes a difference!
