Well, it actually deletes all entries except the first.
In the for... loop the indexer is 1 NOT 0 ;)

Ah. slowly but surely I understand our database classes ;)

I guess I will not have the time to test it properly before the weekend, but I will report my findings here when I've found the time.

My guess is we sorted all update problems out now... but we'll see :p

    Emko,

Dish Network and Bell epgs work like this:

Every transponder carries now/next epg info. In other words, they have the program that is playing now and the next program that will air for EVERY channel on the sat.

There are special transponders that carry 44 hours of epg information for EVERY channel on the sat. In Lyngsat they are marked with EPG. In the case of Bell it carries PPV 6 (as you mentioned) and NBC-E (channel 280).

There are also specal transponder that carry a 7/9 day guide in the case of Bell/Dish respectively. In the case of Bell it is on transponder 12603 which carries the History Channel among other things. It isn't marked in Lyngsat for some reason. In Dish Network it is marked with EEPG. I haven't tested the 7 day guide in dish, but it does work on Bell.

So you want to turn on the timeshifting epg grabber, open mediaportal, tune to channel 280, and wait 15 mins for the guide to come in. If that works, try the History Channel to for an extended guide, but it takes much longer to pull in.

    EMKO,

Technically it should, but most of the time it doesn't. I have to find some time to find out why not. I'm guessing that the "last update time" is set to after now/next. Until the bug is tracked down, try the new "always update" setting.

    Nietschy,

I think your are correct in assuming that the epg has the "incorrect" transponder details for that sat. Unfortunantly, I don't see epg mappings getting implemented as a feature in the near future. The TV Server is in featue freeze at the momement, but you never know, you'll have to see what the devs say.

In the mean time, you could try the xmltv grabber to get your guide...

It does actually work if you have a clean install and virgin DB. After the first grab, it doesn't always work though.

    @ dalmer
its working with dummy channels, but recording is not possible of course.
I would implement something on my own to get rid of this problem. i am developing in c#.net but i think i could manage this little step in c++. you say its in a feature freeze, so its not allowed to add new features?

ha was testing around and i got it to some how get the now/next for only one dish thought the other 2 don't get it i am going to go test around more.

Oh nice its all working took me a long time to figure everything out i hope as the tv-server gets better it becomes more easier to setup. One thing i still want to be able to do is make the channel number go in order. I first tried to get my tv channel numbers to show up by turning on Show channel numbers in MP confiuration which made it look bad because it was not using the SID. I looked for a long time and finally figure out in TV-server you can select all the channel and add SID in front of them. This worked great but had its own problems for example if u had 2 channels with the same SID it would add number on the end of the name like (1) and then all the Payperview channels have (1) (2) (3) all the way to 9 or something like that. What i think should be done is not add numbers on the end to show which channel is which but maybe have it only in the db but in the tvguide don't show it you will be able to tell the difference because it wont be the same channel just same SID and if you press say 530 on your remote a menu should pop up letting u choose which one u want and maybe which one is on which sat. There should be a way to make this much simpler for both eu and na users.

My last question is there anyway to make the SID go in order?
