    Hey dalmer,

would be great if you could help gemx out. I guess he has plenty of things to do. So help from the community is always appreciated!

    I've a new issue with DVB-EPG.
    My situation is like this:
TV-server with DVB-C and DVB-S, some channels are combined and DVB-S has higher priority as DVB-C

For the EPG data, DVB-C has 3 days of EPG data; DVB-S is only showing now playing and next program

I would realy like to set the epg from DVB-C to allow and DVB-S to ignore (or combine) for the combined channels.

Now I have the following behaviour:
with empty DVB and startup tv-server
1st will populate channels with DVB-C data, wich gives me the wanted view
2nd all EPG data will get lost and channels are populated with DVB-S data (only now & next)
3th all EPG data will dissapear after some time and I have nothing to see anymore in EPG view.

Is there a possibility to combine both epg-sources? Or at least to select on combined channels where the epg data will be grabbed from.

If this is not configurable, can it be 'hacked' in the tv-server database

Whatever source DVB EPG grab wise, will overwrite any imported xml file, as you have found.

The best choice is to totally disable grab EPG from DVB stream, and just configure a xmltv source, whether it using WebEPG or any other source available.

uhm, was this a reply to my question? I don't (want to) use xml import.

If you have any DVB source enabled, at this moment i know of no way of seperating DVB-C and DVB-S EPG import from the stream, so one will overwrite the other, now and next does seem to be favourite, sorry.

Well, if it's not possible to seperate 2 dvb sources, why not combine them, that would solve my problem too(and probably for some others too).

It will solve problems like this too:
    https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/...pg_data-t33022.html?t=33022&highlight=dvb+epg

So only delete 'past' programs and replace programs in the epg view on 'dvb-updates' and not delete the entire epg entries for the channel.

This way, when DBV-C grabbing comes first for channel name 'RTL 4' it fills my EPG for 3 days, when DVB-S starts EPG grabbing for 'RTL 4', it only updates 'now playing' and 'next program' and leaves all other entries for the next 3 days in the guide.

SVN of beginning this month worked fine as far as I can remember in my setup, almost never I saw empty or un-updated guide for channels and I could see 3 days ahead!

I guess all these hints will help. Somewhen :) We have to wait for gemx to jump in back or for dalmer to help out I would say at the moment!

    This thread:
    https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/...ps_dissappearing_replaced-t33182.html?t=33182

Describes exactly the same problem I have with the new updated DVB-EPG service, although I don't use web-epg or XML import; I use DVB-EPG from 2 different DVB sources. Both sources used to update eachother (I think!) at least the DVB-EPG with 3 days ahead of data used to be dominant!
Now I have no EPG showing most of times (nothing is displayed). After restarting tv-service, quickly all channels are populated with 3 days of data (DVB-C, card #1, priority 2) after this data gets replaced in a few minutes my data with only now and next from DVB-S (card #2, priority 1), some time later all data is gone (I have 2 analogues cards and ofcource the virtual card left in tv-server)

@Paranoid: "Pinpoint it, and then we can see what has changed."; What can I test and what information I can deliver that is usefull for the devs? As said in the thread i've mentioned; I'm sure for me I've the exact same issue only with 2 DVB sources in stead of XML import.
