How can i launch mp via my remote (1 Viewer)

Hi & welcome ArtimusRhyme,

Afaik that is only possible with external Remote-Software, e.g. like Girder (there is an older, free version of it). I am doing it that way.

Nooooo.... just add MediaPortal.exe to your irremote.ini. There are several samples around here on the forums.

That's for MCE remotes/clones, not Hauppauge's own 45 ones.

irremote.inil is installed to your windows dir by the Hauppauge IR installer. IR32.exe has to run for this feature. No change in MP needed. About the rest... We just improved the search function of this forum.

I change the ini file to say this

GRNPOWER={run(C:\Program Files\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\MediaPortal.exe)}

and it doesnt work what am i doing wrong

Previously I had a lot of problems getting the same done, until I read somewhere that you need to use the old DOS notation.

From my irremote:

GRNPOWER={run("c:\progra~1\teamme~1\mediap~1\mediaportal.exe")}
