How Do I Play Real Files In MP? (.rm) (1 Viewer)

Ive Got the real alternative codec however MP is using WMP10 to play all my video which aint gonna work

How have other ppl got round this??

try installing real alternative. then you should be able to play rm files in windows mediaplayer. if that works, mediaportal should be also able to play these files.

you only need to add the filetype in Setup MediaPortal then.

if it doesnt play in WMP, it wont play in MediaPortal.

i had simmilar issues with quickime alternative in the past. latest versions of qt alt solved many issues.

maybe you have to wait for a newer version too.

Sometimes for some obscure reason real files just downright refuse to play in WMP no matter what you do. The fix I found for this you can see here

Tried enabling FFDShow post processing, It opens up now but black screen on video, Audio ok!?

Not overly sure what you mean about a chack mark for the rm codecs, just installing latest svn now, maybe ill understand what you mean then?
