i have Mediaportal 1.0 RC1 + latest version of TVserver. i have fusion hdtv7 dual express and vista sp1. i am wondering how do i setup the tv channel?

Your not being ignored, its just some of us do not have hybrid cards, so tend to relie on other people who have one answering.

i have look at the site. then i try to scan digital channel ( QAM256,QAM64 or V8) , it told me that it has no signal on most of those channel and also the tuner is not locked.

in the analog side of it, when i try to scan an analog channel, there is no channel available.

can anyone tell me how do setup the channel if i have 1600 or fusion hdtv5 tuner card?

I assume you're referring to an HVR-1600? I've got it running fine with OTA HD and analog. I'm not exactly sure what you mean when you say "how do i setup the tv channel?". If you're using an HVR-1600, I assume you're in the US trying to tune ATSC channels? When it tells you that the tuner isn't locked, I believe that's referring to the fact that it's not locked on to a channel - ie there's nothing on that frequency for it to tune (or "lock" on to). You've got a few different questions riddled through here, so are you actually trying to tune QAM channels through digital cable or are you just trying to do ATSC OTA? If you're doing QAM, make sure those channels are actually unencrypted.

As for your analog problems what's your setup there? Are you using a STB of any kind and, if so, what are you using to control it?

right now i have analog and HD channel but when i try to start HD channel it say " unable to start graph".

I guess you let your system to finish scan. Also, did you select your country before starting the scan?

An update of sorts.

I've spent the last couple days working on it and got it to work by installing the Fusion software so now I can scan and find some unencrypted digital cable channels using MP tvserver3. It's not as stable as I'd like, sometimes get the msg about unable to start graph but then try the same channel again and it works. `shrug`

Right now I'm thinking of getting a different tuner card, maybe the HVR-1600, if t is capable of getting clear QAM off my cable line without using a STB. From what I've read some people are having trouble, others it only works by using a STB.

Any suggetions on a good tuner card that works with Media Portal, is capable of getting both and unencrypted digital cable?
