Hmm i have something weird, M2TS with hd audio work fine but MKV with HD audio dont play in MP. MPC-HC plays them with no problem.

I tried setting H264 codec on MPC and FFdshow Video.

Anyone have an idea?

I bet that is haali splitter problem. HD audio in MKV is not supported correctly. Hope Haali will release new Haali media splitter soon...

I'm not sure that is the case. I have the same problem with 1.1RC. However, if I build the graph manually in graphstudio (source(vc-1 1080p,dtshd)->haali->MS codec for video and ffdshow rev. 3246 for audio->EVR and arcsoft renderer) it works nicely. At least for dtshd. Haven't tested truehd yet because I've reinstalled everything from the ground up using win7 and I'm having difficulties with other things, too.

I got MKV with truehd working. Had to register the MPC splitter and unregister haali and it ran fine. The only problem is I lost the subtitle option within mediaportal. MPC-HC does subtitles with no problem. I tried both MPC-HC and autovobsub option in the settings, but no go.

    *sigh*

edit: hoborg is the only reason why haali is included in SAF the VSfilter for subtitles? This plugin really gives me headdaches

No. It is becouse you can switch between more audio and subtitle tracks from MP.
DirectVobSub is no longer part of experimental SAF 5.00.

    Hi all,
Just got a new receiver Denon AVR-2113
    video card: redon 6450
    MP: 1.2.3

    Installed SAF v5.02

Problem is i can't get DTS-MA HD sound when I play a movie through MP but if I play it through MPC it works fine.

    MP codec setup:
    MPEG-2 Video decoder: FFDSHOW
    h.264 Video decoder: FFDSHOW
MPEG / AC3 audio decoder: FFDSHOW
AAC audio decoder: Microsoft DTV-DVD Audio decoder
    Audio render: HDMI

anyone know what could be the issue?
    Thanks

    Hi.
Do not use old SAF5, it is too outdated.
Use *unlocked* SAF6 - look to PM how to unlock.
    It should work.

I'd suggest you use LAV (as Audio Decoder) and make sure you've checked the 'Bitstreaming' settings:
