How to change sort date to descending (1 Viewer)

Next to the "Sort By" field, you should see a little arrow. That is to change sort order. Also see manual for screenshots.

I don't think you can pre-set sort order on SHARES view. At least it will remember your last setting.
If you use one of the database views, you can pre-set the sort order. See this page in the manual.
