I did everything in the guide, tried both options, but I can't get it to work. I keep getting this error "UnableToStartGraph" whenever I try to preview a (non-scrambled) channel. It searched for channels perfectly and found a whole bunch of them, but I can't watch any of them.

    Here's the tv.log:
www private pastebin - collaborative debugging tool
You can see a couple of timeouts of about 10 seconds everytime. It's probably waiting for something, but what??
And usually when a graph cannot be created, it means some codecs aren't installed... but they are.

    I'm trying a Terratec C PCI HD (w/o CI)
    Also I'm using Win2008 non-R2 english x64, fully updated.

    NON R2 ?

that is based on vista... R2 is based on windows 7 .. this manual is not intended for that actually, only for R2

but it looks like you only need to install codecs to get picture ... or just install mediaportal client (advanced install) as an extra to get the codecs also to use preview.
    good luck

thany, other question , can you manually start a timeshift ? that would void use of any codecs ...
if that works.. its a codec problem .. if not.. you have some other difficulties :D

AW: How to install Mediaportal on Windows 2008 R2 (x64 only)

Thanks BKCH you made my day. After weeks of installing the latest drivers and reinstall the server, I just haven't installed anything and it works.

Well i tried option 1 and 2 yet still tvserver config does not show my floppyDTV.

Where and as what should it be listed in device manager?

Cause on my pc it is listed under sound, video and gamecontrollers.

I hope anyone has an idea.

Have anyone else had this problem using the FloppyDTV card?

with the upgrade to 1.1.1 my floppyDTV was listed and is working however there is no CI menu, like it is not recognizing my alphacrypt =\

    no not really..
    however..

you might try the following command in a administrative dosbox..

    bcdedit.exe /set TESTSIGNING ON

this allows you to install drivers without the need for whql certified crap ..

reboot .. and see what happens if it works ?

    turn off with

    bcdedit.exe /set TESTSIGNING OFF

p.s. this will show a "testmode enabled watermark" right under in the screen and will go away when you disable it again..

Hmmm what i wonder is why would that be needed, because i didn't do that the last time I installed mp on server 2k8r2 and it worked perfectly o_O
