I have a few MP3 files which represent an entire CD each, for which I have no index files.
What software is there to help me divide these into their constituent tracks?

Thanx for the responses. I have downloaded and installed Audacity and see that it would be possible, but would require a lot of hand editing. Unfortunately, I have several of these MP3 files without corresponding CUE files, so I guess MP3direccut is out. What I was hoping for was to be able to import the track list (with track times) into Audacity as labels, just fine adjust them a little to match the pauses between tracks and then have Audacity split them up and spit them out automatically. Am I missing something in my cursory study of Audacity, which would make this possible? Is there anything else out there to do this sort of thing?

Hi. I was probably being a bit fast and loose with my terminology. I meant "somewhere within the files that MP2 uses in its database". Anyway, I found a way to do this which was far from automated but relatively low effort. I found what looked like all the images (CD covers, DVD covers, backgrounds etc all lumped together in...

4.5 is really old. I'm not sure 4.5.5 even is a version that actually existed. You should be able to install .NET Framework 4.8.0 on Windows 7 SP1

I do not know why this xml was in my theme folders, it must have sneaked in some time ago (years?). I simply removed the file. The Latest Media Handler plugin seems to be working as expected. I've had no lock-ups.
