there is an action called "previous item" this is seperate to "previous channel"
there are lots of previous actions; "prev item/chapter/channel/picture/teletextpage/menu"
i assume that this does what he needs.
if you can edit the mappings of the previous remote you can find the action that was used and map the revelant action onto the mce remote.
no need to use IRSS for this.

yes but when i go on the maping i cant find this button to assing any action.
try this,go to mediaportal config -> remote->hauppauge->enable hauppaguge remote->learn->mapping->hauppauge 45 button remote and look for the previous channel.
on the mce remote this button doesnt exist on the mapping.

i can't do that because i don't have a haupague remote so it wont let me click on the enable hauppague remote button.
find the relevant hauppague button it should have an associated action, what is it?

the button doesn't exist in the mapping because it doesn't exist on the remote
but you should be able to assign an existing button on the remote to do the desired action.

    Try this:

Let's change the "My TV" button

If TV is not running then it will it will retain it's original function
If you are already watching fullscreen TV then the button will jump back to previously viewed channel

Find the "my tv" button (It's under extended button)

    It looks like this
    Code:
    Extended buttons
      - My TV
           - All layers
              + Fullscreen teletext
              + TV
              - TVfullscreen
                   - Action "Show GUI"
                   - Click.wav
              + Teletext
              + No condition

Change action "Show GUI" to Action "Last viewed channel"

then it's even easier just use the harmony to learn the IR signal of the view last channel button from your other remote.
you can do this when you plug the harmony into the computer and use the logitech setup software to edit the remote.

no, do it in the logitech harmony setup (not inside mediaportal)
what remote is your harmony emulating?

do u mean from the hauppauge remote?if yes how can this happen?this code belong on the hauppauge setup and not for the mce setup.anyway i will give a try.

so the harmony remote sends IR signal the same IR signal that came from your previous remote's last channel button
I am assuming that when you adding the harmony the harmony is emulating the hauppague remote.
If the harmony is emulating the MCE remote and you are using MCE remote for mediaportal then you can follow my original instructions

    a small update,
ok finaly i manage to work all the buttons like i want,so a big thanks to kiwijunglist.Like you say i change the mapping (in mediaportal) and i add the last view channel on the tv button (in mediaportal). The good was that when i setup the harmony from the native program i choose mediaportal as device and this setup had inside 2 action one called mytv and one other live tv.so i let the action mytv on the speciall button of harmony and i have assign the livetv in the previous channel on the remote with the new mapping.

i hope that this is clear becuase as i read my own post i get more confused. :)
if someone want help or more details i will help as much as i can now.
Again a big thanks to kiwijunglist.
