HP MCE Remote + Receiver/Blaster Combo -> Will this work with MP/XP Pro SP3? (2 Viewers)

well it works..
well some of the buttons do

i can scroll up and down and use the OK button to select what i want
but i cant figure out how to go back to the main menu.

the play / pause / stop buttons dont work

mute works

if you push the power button the pc goes into standby
and the volume up and down works as well

i think thats pretty much it, dont think any other buttons work.




i guess i gotta map all the other buttons to what i want...any guide around on how i can do that?

good news everybody!

i got this remote working with mediaportal 1.0.2 !

all i had to do was enable the microsoft MCE remote in configuration
started up media portal and bam!

play, pause, stop, fast forward, the back button

all of the buttons that are needed are now working

yeeeeahhhhh

windows detected everything

i just waited till it installed the device

Got my remote.

1. Automatically detected by XP when pluged into USB port.
2. No drivers to install
3. Works straight away using the inbuilt mediaportal remote control support for MCE compatible device (Only 1 box to tick in MP Config for remote to work)
4. All buttons working perfectly
5. Power button on remote works to send PC to sleep, and wake up from sleep

However the remote doesn't seem to work using IRSS, therefore I don't know if the blaster works.

BLASTER NOW WORKING

It seems to get the blaster going you need "LM Remote KeyMap", it doesn't work with MCEIRPLAY / HIP / IRSS.
